Kellie Martin, an American actor and actress on television and film. She is popular for her role in the roles of Christy Huddleston on the historical drama series "Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. Other notable roles include the title role of The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin started her acting career at the young age of seven when her aunt, who was an nanny to Michael Landon's children was able to help her get a guest spot in the 1982 show 'Father Murphy'. She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of parts in both the television and film industry. Apart from being an actor, Martin is a skilled photographer as well as a ballet dancer. The mother of two daughters Martin is the Lupus representative and promotes awareness of the illness daily since the loss of her sister when she was age 19.
